AP Specialist

The ideal candidate is responsible for the accurate and timely entry, processing, and maintenance of vendor invoices and AP transactions. This role supports the P2P process by ensuring invoices are properly recorded, supported, and aligned with approved purchase orders, contracts, and policies.

This role will report to the Controller and this role focuses on transaction execution, data quality, and foundational AP support, providing reliable inputs that enable timely vendor payments and an accurate month- end close.

• Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
• Vendor Master and Basic Account Support ( support vendor set up and maintenance activities in accordance with established governance and approval requirements.
• Process expense reports from employees Identify discrepancies and settle in appropriate manner
• AP Support for Close and Reconciliations (assist with AP aging reviews and preparation of support for month end close)
• Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
• Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2 to 4 years Accounts Payable experience or transactional accounting roles
• Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
• Hands on experience with invoice entry, AP processing, and basic reconciliations.
• Detail oriented
• Familiarity with ERP systems and strong excel skills
