Position

Summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the acquisition of goods, materials, services, and subcontractors necessary for our construction projects. This role ensures that procurement activities are cost‑effective, timely, and aligned with organizational goals. The manager develops procurement strategies, negotiates contracts, manages vendor relationships, and ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company and project objectives.
  • Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Evaluate quality, cost‑effectiveness, and reliability of goods and services.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and project managers to forecast needs and specifications.
  • Track and report key procurement metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Manage procurement budgets and prepare cost analyses and reports.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet operational and project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities for transparency and auditing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or construction.
  • Experience in construction procurement is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in vendor negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, market trends, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, decision‑making, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Risk management and cost analysis expertise.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Position is primarily based in a professional office environment with standard office conditions.
  • Regular use of a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment is required.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday, including prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, or handling of materials up to approximately 15 pounds may be required.
  • Position requires occasional travel to project sites and vendor locations, which may involve walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through electronic means.
  • Work may require occasional extended hours or schedule flexibility to accommodate meetings, site visits, or project deadlines.
