Overview
Job Title:
Construction Project Manager / Estimator
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager / Estimator to oversee projects from pre-construction through completion. This role combines estimating responsibilities with project execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Pre-Construction / Estimating
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
- Perform quantity take-offs and scope analysis from plans and specifications
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Develop value engineering options to optimize cost and efficiency
- Assist in contract negotiations and project buyout
- Project Management
- Manage all phases of construction projects from kickoff to closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates
- Resolve issues proactively to maintain project momentum
- Field & Quality Oversight
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies
- Manage punch lists and project closeout documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction
- Strong estimating and cost control experience
- Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- High attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Negotiation and subcontractor management expertise
