The Preschool Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position located in Westfield, IN. In this role, the teacher plans and delivers engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for preschool-aged children. Daily responsibilities include implementing curriculum, preparing classroom materials, guiding group and individual activities, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. The teacher observes and documents children’s progress, communicates regularly with families and colleagues, and collaborates with center leadership to ensure alignment with Kinder Care’s educational standards and licensing requirements.

This role also involves participating in ongoing training, contributing to classroom organization, and supporting a positive school culture.

• Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education, including knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning practices.
• Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development skills to design, adapt, and implement engaging preschool learning experiences.
• Effective Communication skills to interact with children, families, and colleagues, and to document and share student progress.
• Experience or familiarity with Kindergarten readiness concepts to support smooth transitions for older preschool learners.
• Relevant education such as a CDA credential or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or progress toward such credentials).
• Ability to meet state and local licensing requirements, including background checks and health/safety clearances.
• Demonstrated classroom management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices.
• Flexibility to follow center schedules, participate in professional development, and support team goals.
