Key Responsibilities- Monitor patients' vital signs, airway, pain levels, and overall stability during the immediate post-anesthesia recovery phase
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and anesthesia providers
- Provide emotional support, reassurance, and education to patients and their families
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately per regulatory standards
- Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition or emergencies
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and fellow nurses to ensure seamless care and optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain infection control, safety, and compliance standards within the surgery center
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
- 1–2 years of PACU, ICU, or critical care experience strongly preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a positive, professional, and collaborative attitude
