Our client is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join the team and perform routine and advanced laboratory tests to support raw material, in process, and finished product evaluation. This role involves wet chemistry, instrumental analysis, documentation in compliance, and supporting method development activities.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions

  • Perform wet chemistry analyses including pH, osmolality, and related chemical tests.
  • Prepare laboratory solutions such as buffers and mobile phases
  • Conduct routine testing on raw materials, in process samples, and finished products for R&D purposes.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including HPLC, and other analytical instruments.
  • Maintain a clean, compliant laboratory environment and perform waste management duties.
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate supply ordering, and ensure readiness of laboratory materials.
  • Perform data analysis and utilize data acquisition and instrument operating software.
  • Complete assigned laboratory projects under direct or general supervision.
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures for handling hazardous chemicals and materials.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Skills and Requirements
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry principles.
  • Experience with HPLC operation and chromatographic methods.
  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate instrumentation
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or closely related field or commensurate experience.
  • Training in analytical chemistry, wet chemistry, and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Additional certifications in GMP, laboratory safety, or analytical method development are a plus.

  • Strong background in analytical chemistry and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills (written/oral)
