This is a full-time, on‑site Service Technician role based in Westfield, IN. The Service Technician will perform installation, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC and geothermal systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and indoor air quality equipment. Daily responsibilities include responding to scheduled service calls, troubleshooting system performance issues, performing preventive maintenance, documenting work performed, and maintaining tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working order.
The role involves interacting with customers at their homes, explaining findings and recommended solutions in clear terms, and ensuring each visit meets company quality and safety standards. The Service Technician will collaborate with dispatchers, installers, and other team members to complete work efficiently and support an exceptional service experience.
- Strong maintenance and repair skills, including experience with maintenance & repair and general maintenance of HVAC or related mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, with proven troubleshooting skills on a variety of equipment and system types.
- Background in field service, including working independently in customers’ homes, managing schedules, and completing accurate service documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and provide professional, respectful support to all customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in HVAC, mechanical, or electrical fields is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., EPA certification for refrigerants, state or local HVAC licensing) or willingness to obtain them within a defined period.
- Comfort working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, with the physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces safely.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to pass applicable background checks and drug screening as required by company policy and law.
