Audio Visual Installation Technician
The Audio Visual Installation Technician installs, configures, and integrates commercial audio/visual systems at client sites. This role focuses on mounting displays and projectors, pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling, and setting up A/V equipment to ensure reliable, seamless operation in both residential and commercial environments.
Responsibilities- Install and integrate commercial audio/visual systems at various client locations.
- Set up and mount televisions securely and accurately according to project requirements.
- Install and configure projectors, audio systems, and cameras for optimal performance.
- Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, HDMI, and related cable types.
- Follow project blueprints, diagrams, and instructions to complete installations to specification.
- Inspect and test installed A/V systems to verify proper functionality and signal quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic installation and connectivity issues on site.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area at client sites and in vehicles.
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete daily project assignments efficiently.
- Report progress, issues, and completion details to supervisors as required.
- Drive or ride with a technician from the warehouse to designated work sites and return at the end of the day.
- Adhere to safety procedures and best practices when working with tools, ladders, and electronic equipment.
- Hands-on experience installing audio/visual systems in commercial settings.
- Ability to pull, route, and terminate low-voltage cabling such as Cat5e, Cat6, and HDMI.
- Proficiency in setting up and mounting televisions, including secure bracket installation.
- Experience installing and configuring projectors, audio systems, and cameras.
- Ability to read and follow project blueprints and technical instructions.
- Familiarity with both residential and commercial A/V installation environments.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure clean, professional installations.
- Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to report to the warehouse by the required start time.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with both residential and commercial audio/visual projects.
- Comfort working in various commercial settings and adapting to different site conditions.
- Professional appearance and demeanor when working at client locations.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for A/V equipment and cabling issues.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively for installation work.

Work Environment
This role operates primarily in commercial settings, with occasional work in residential environments. The workday typically begins at the warehouse at 7:45 a.m., where technicians then drive or ride together in a work vehicle to designated job sites and return to the warehouse around 5:00 p.m. The position involves regular travel between sites during the day, working with low-voltage cabling, televisions, projectors, audio systems, and related A/V equipment.
The environment may include active construction or finished office spaces, requiring a neat, professional appearance and adherence to on-site safety practices.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westfield, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
