Essential Functions- Provide assistance to all students that need help entering and exiting the school bus. Assistance includes, but is not limited to:
- Helping students climb or descend bus steps
- Properly seating students
- Ensuring that students that require car seats are properly seated and the seat is properly secured
- Ensure that all students possessions are properly stored and safeguarded
- Act as navigational aid to any substitute driver
- Other duties may include operation of a wheelchair lift, tie down of wheelchair, and student discipline. Duties will be determined by the driver and aide working together as a team.
- CPR
- Training tailored to individual student needs as determined by the school nurse.
