Job DescriptionWestfield Public Schools seeks qualified applicants for an Educational Team Leader for the 26/27 School Year.
Job Summary- Chair team meetings in assigned buildings.
- Facilitate the development of Individual Education Plans.
- Write IEPs and complete paperwork for all IEP and non-IEP special education meetings.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations, including timelines.
- Coordinate and schedule team meetings.
- Monitor completion of progress reports.
- Ensure all staff have appropriate access to special services student information.
- Maintain student files in accordance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Monitor paraprofessional assignments.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or the Administrator of Special Education and Student Support Services.

Salary and terms of employment will be commensurate with the Westfield Public Schools Unit A contract. Salary placement will be based on the information contained in the application as submitted.
Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Westfield School Committee policy on evaluation.
This position is contingent upon funding.

- Qualifications:
- Certified to teach students with moderate or severe disabilities by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Candidates with CORE academic DESE licensure with sufficient special education experience will also be considered.
- Strong organizational, communication, word-processing, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of special education programs, eligibility requirements, curriculum and required forms.
- Minimum of three years teaching experience.
- Additional Requirements:
Work is generally conducted within school building. Ability to travel throughout the school building is necessary. Position involves sitting and the ability to travel from one place to another within the classroom. Work is light in nature with regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds with some pulling and pushing or reaching above, generally of desk and file drawers.
Frequent use of hands to operate keyboards and telephones and other office equipment. - At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
