Shift: Flexible/ based on need

Regular Days Off:
Saturday and Sunday (may be needed on occasion)

Supervision Received:
The temporary Coordinator reports to the Executive Director, Student Belonging & Affinity Programs.

Supervision Exercised:
Supervision may include student workers and graduate assistants.

Salary: $25.00-$28.00 Per hour (commensurate with education and experience)

General Statement of Duties:

The temporary Coordinator of Student Access and Support within the Fostering a Culture of Empowerment and Success (FACES) will provide on-campus support for non-clinical case management and the coordination of basic needs services and programming for Summer 2026 FACES students living in residence halls. The Coordinator will assist students with personal, employment, and residency needs and services. In collaboration with Residential Life and Student Activities, Involvement, and Leadership (SAIL) among other campus offices, the Coordinator will plan and implement inclusive, accessible student-centered summer programming.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include but not limited to:

Essential:

* Provide assistance and advocacy to students in support of their self-identified personal, employment, and residency needs and services.

* Support the development, delivery, and referral of supportive services and resources for students.

* Facilitate students' connection with campus and community-based resources and service providers.

* Support a caseload of approximately 50 students including associated documentation and data entry.

* Contribute to the planning, organization, and facilitation of events for FACES students.

* Perform other programmatic or service-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

* Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position.

* Proven competence in student support services and practices aimed at students from diverse backgrounds.

* Demonstrated commitment to working with students from diverse cultural and ethnic heritages, and an awareness of issues affecting women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other communities.

* Ability to exercise confidentiality with highly sensitive information.

* Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to listen well, demonstrate sensitivity and respect for individual needs.

* Computer proficiency with routine office software and applications.

* Ability to work well in a team setting.

* Drivers License

* Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.

Salary:

Salaries for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts must be calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining agreements as well as state policies.
