QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and/or enrolled in a teaching certification program at a college or university; grade level and content certification; experience teaching or tutoring high school students preferred.
REPORTS TO:
Principal or Principal Designee RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of authorized administrators, the tutor shall:
Provide academic assistance for students in developing math skills and concepts in Algebra and Geometry. Provide one-to-one or small group instruction. Demonstrate strong communication skills and collaborate effectively with students of varying backgrounds and levels of need. Collaborate with teachers to determine strategies to increase student achievement. Provide instruction in targeted areas based on student data. Monitor student progress. Be familiar with Google Platform and applications, especially Google Classroom.
Create and maintain a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to learning. Assist content area teachers in implementing and following student-learning plans. Any other duties as assigned by the building principal or Superintendent of schools. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Must be available during the school day 7:30 a.m.
