Job DescriptionWestfield Public Schools seeks qualified applicants for an Educational Team Leader for 504 Plans for the 7-12 level for the 25-26 School Year:
JOB SUMMARY:- Chair 504 team meetings in assigned buildings.
- Facilitate the development of 504 Plans.
- Write 504s and complete paperwork for all 504 and non-504 special education meetings.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations, including timelines.
- Coordinate and schedule 504 team meetings.
- Ensure all staff have appropriate access to 504 services student information.
- Maintain student files in accordance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or the Administrator of Special Education and Student Support Services.
REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Salary and terms of employment will be commensurate with the Westfield Public Schools Unit A contract. Salary placement will be based on the information contained in the application as submitted.
Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Westfield School Committee policy on evaluation.
This position contingent upon grant funding.

- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Massachusetts DESE licensure
- Minimum 5 years educational experience in a public school setting preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, word-processing, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of general education classroom accommodations.
- Ability to travel to multiple school sites.
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally conducted within school building. Expectation for in person teaching. Ability to travel throughout the school building is necessary. Position involves sitting and the ability to travel from one place to another within the classroom. Work is light in nature with regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds with some pulling and pushing or reaching above, generally of desk and file drawers.
Frequent use of hands to operate keyboards and telephones and other office equipment. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job. - At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
