Westfield State University Department of Social Work is seeking applications for a full-time, one-year contract Assistant Professor of Social Work. The responsibilities for the position will include teaching Social Work at the graduate level and undergraduate levelin the University’s existing BSW and MSW programs. The program islooking for faculty with the ability to teach clinical practice and foundation MSW and BSW classes.
The position includes a 24-credit teaching load annually, student advising, scholarship (work toward a doctoral degree is consideredscholarship), and service to the University. The position willstart September 1, 2027.
Job RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
- MSW
- A minimum of two years post-masters direct practice experience
- A DSW or PhD in Social Work or related social science field is preferred (ABD will be considered)
Salary:
Salaries for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts mustbe calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining agreements as well as state policies.
