Overview

Westfield State University (WSU) seeks to hire a one-year temporary visiting instructor of Finance to support the BS in Finance degree offered by the Department of Accounting and Finance within the College of Professional Studies.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses such as Personal Financial Planning, Financial Management, and potentially Risk Management and Insurance.
  • Contribute to strengthening the Finance major.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a multidisciplinary faculty environment.
  • Engage in service to the university and department through committee participation, campus activities, and other opportunities.
  • Advise students on course selection and academic/career goals.
Qualifications
  • Required:
  • Hold an MBA with a concentration in Finance, MSc in Finance, or PhD in Finance.
  • Have prior teaching experience at the college level.
  • Preferred:
  • A commitment to undergraduate teaching.
  • Flexibility to teach a broad range of finance-related courses in the future.
  • Willingness to incorporate themes of race, class, gender, indigeneity, and historically marginalized communities into teaching, service, and scholarship.
