Salary: $78,000 - $80,000 (salary commensurate with education and experience)
OverviewWestfield State University (WSU) seeks to hire a one-year temporary visiting instructor of Finance to support the BS in Finance degree offered by the Department of Accounting and Finance within the College of Professional Studies.
Responsibilities- Teach courses such as Personal Financial Planning, Financial Management, and potentially Risk Management and Insurance.
- Contribute to strengthening the Finance major.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a multidisciplinary faculty environment.
- Engage in service to the university and department through committee participation, campus activities, and other opportunities.
- Advise students on course selection and academic/career goals.
- Required:
- Hold an MBA with a concentration in Finance, MSc in Finance, or PhD in Finance.
- Have prior teaching experience at the college level.
- Preferred:
- A commitment to undergraduate teaching.
- Flexibility to teach a broad range of finance-related courses in the future.
- Willingness to incorporate themes of race, class, gender, indigeneity, and historically marginalized communities into teaching, service, and scholarship.
