OverviewThe Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking Master’s level, licensed or license-eligible Clinicians to join our Juvenile Justice Program. In this role, you will work with male youth in the Revocation/Detention Unit at the Westfield Youth Service Center, a secure Department of Youth Services (DYS) facility.
This is an exceptional opportunity to gain specialized juvenile justice experience, provide vital care, and ensure that every youth is given a second chance for a better life. Strong individual and group clinical supervision is provided to support your professional growth.
Responsibilities- Direct Clinical Care:
Conducting individual and group therapy, performing intakes, and facilitating crisis intervention. - Case Management:
Managing caseloads, coordinating medical and psychiatric care, and maintaining consistent contact with families, guardians, and appropriate collaterals. - Collaboration & Compliance:
Building strong working relationships with state agencies (such as DYS and DCF), community health organizations, and referral sources while ensuring clinical documentation meets all licensing requirements.
- Schedule:
Full-time and part-time salaried positions are available. Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours is preferred to meet program needs. - Mandatory Training:
Hired clinicians must complete a required, non-negotiable 3-week training program in Grafton, MA. This training consists of full 8‑hour days and is a mandatory requirement of the role.
- Education:
Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or a related clinical field. - Licensure:
Current professional license (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC) is preferred or actively license eligible. - Experience:
Experience working within an involuntary residential or secure setting is required
, alongside extensive experience with learning‑disordered adolescents or youth facing behavioral challenges; experience with DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and substance abuse treatment is highly preferred. - Key
Skills:
