We are currently seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist the Physical Therapist in providing direct patient care to residents requiring rehabilitation services.
- Implement treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
- Monitor and document residents’ responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and safety procedures as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Complete required documentation including daily treatment notes and other assigned records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient-centered care.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Maintain compliance with confidentiality policies, HIPAA regulations, and Federal Residents’ Rights.
- Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Must hold a valid PTA license and registration in the state of practice.
- Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
