Store Manager - Supercenter

What You'll Do

• Develop and communicate a strategic vision aligned with company goals, guiding management and associate teams.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, asset protection, and quality‑assurance standards, and respond proactively to regulatory and operational compliance issues.
• Drive community outreach and represent the company in local and media engagements, fostering relationships with stakeholders, the media, and the broader community.
• Manage financial performance by meeting sales and profit goals, controlling expenses, monitoring key performance indicators, and leading process improvements.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory presentation, pricing accuracy, and promotional activities to drive sales and maintain store standards.
• Lead the Academy training program and uphold store standards, coordinating training, shadowing, and leadership engagement for associates.
• Develop and implement workforce strategies—including recruitment, mentorship, and talent development—to build a highly skilled and engaged team.
• Cultivate an inclusive workplace culture that respects integrity, ethics, and belonging, while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of general management experience with financial accountability, and 4 years supervising at least 50 nonexempt and 5 exempt associates (or equivalent).
• Experience supervising associate teams, managing performance, and overseeing cost control and profitability.
• Understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and compliance standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, evidenced by prior supervisory roles in a complex retail environment.
• Background check and firearms‑specific training when applicable.
• Completion of required job training and assessments, including Academy and Open Door trainings.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management or related field, including Live Better U credentials.
• Experience as a Store Manager in a low‑ to high‑complexity store with oversight of fresh or dry grocery areas.
• Knowledge of retail analytics, inventory systems, and marketing strategies.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams in high‑turnover or challenging labor environments.
