What You'll Do
- Set up and operate a variety of manual and CNC machining equipment including:
- Manual lathes and mills
- PROTO TRAK lathes and milling machines
- Bridgeport machines
- Haas and Doosan multi-axis machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Program and edit machining operations using Mastercam and Proto Trak controls
- Select tooling, fixtures, inserts, and materials for efficient machining operations
- Manufacture precision components while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and depth gauges
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to improve performance and minimize downtime
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and fellow machinists to improve processes and production efficiency
- Maintain accurate production and job records
- 5-7+ years of machining experience preferred
- Strong background in both CNC and manual machining
- Experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC equipment
- Mastercam programming experience preferred
- Experience with Haas and Doosan machines is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and metal properties
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Solid math and geometry skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training or machining certifications are a plus
- Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Overtime and weekend work available as needed
