Role OverviewThe Production Operator I is responsible for operating production equipment and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. This role involves hands‑on work in a production environment, including material handling, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities- Operate production equipment and follow established manufacturing procedures.
- Support material handling activities, including transferring, loading, and unloading materials.
- Monitor processes and perform basic measurements to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Collect and provide product samples for quality testing as required.
- Perform routine tasks related to processing, forming, or finishing materials.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Perform physical tasks including bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and manual material handling.
- Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and wear required PPE.
- Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or quality deviations.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks throughout a shift).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment.
- Ability to comply with all safety requirements, including use of PPE (hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, respirator as needed).
- Prior manufacturing or production experience.
- Experience working in environments with established safety and quality standards.
- Familiarity with material handling or production equipment.
