Position

Inspector A&P – GAC Westfield

Overview

The primary role of this position is to support the interior team. Responsibilities include removal and installation for maintenance, as well as refurbishing activities. Candidates must have strong computer skills, be able to research in 3D models, lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, stands, and lifts, and occasionally work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of aircraft, aircraft components, and review paperwork to ensure workmanship meets acceptable quality standards and aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition.
  • Conduct quality control inspections on aircraft/components, including engine and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved/acceptable data.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical and inspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance or outfitting.
  • Keep accurate, neat and legible records of the work performed on aircraft/components.
  • Coordinate with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner.
  • Conduct audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service.
  • Ensure aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flight activities.
  • Mentor technicians on effective documentation.
  • Communicate with management to identify work assignments and delivery schedules.
  • Provide technical support to inspection personnel in supporting FAA and/or CAA documented requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical).
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics, and QC procedures.
  • Working knowledge and application of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control systems and methodologies.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Compensation

Base compensation range: $39.83 - $46.47 per hour. Final compensation will be determined by several factors including minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.
