Role Overview
The Maintenance Technician I supports the upkeep and reliability of production equipment through routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting. This role contributes to consistent operations by addressing equipment issues, supporting preventive maintenance, and maintaining safe working conditions. The position plays an important role in minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment is operating effectively. Success requires a hands‑on approach, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist with repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Identify and report equipment issues, supporting timely troubleshooting and resolution.
- Record maintenance activities, inspections, and results in maintenance systems.
- Support equipment installation, calibration, and general maintenance projects.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in alignment with operational standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to use standard hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions, complete documentation, and work effectively in a team.
- Technical or vocational training in a maintenance‑related discipline.
- Experience with maintenance management systems or basic computer applications.
- Exposure to troubleshooting industrial equipment or supporting repairs.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
