Pallet Sorter

Position Overview

Our focus is simple but meaningful; from our distribution centers to our offices, every employee of C&S and its family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors, and communities. As a Pallet Sorter, you will empty return trailers from store deliveries of empty pallets, totes, and cardboard bales.

Pay: $20.00 per hour plus $2.00 freezer premium ($22.00 start rate).

Schedule: Day Shift 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Sunday and Friday required. Schedule TBD.

61 Medeiros Way, Westfield MA 01089.

• Sort returned packaging and move to the proper place in the warehouse.
• Unload returned trailer‑truck’s cargo hold of returned pallets, totes, and cardboard bales.
• Sort pallets, totes, and cardboard bales according to truck, color, and destination.
• Record data regarding amount and type of returned packaging.
• Load packaging onto appropriate trucks according to vendor.
• Clean work area at the end of each shift.

• Stand, bend, pull, lift, and pivot up to 90% of the shift.
• Walk between 6–12 miles per day on various surfaces.
• Lift products weighing between 1–60 lbs or more, from floor to overhead.
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height.
• Handle sharp objects, including box‑cutting tools, safely.

• Frequent work in a freezer environment (–20°F to 0°F).
