Clinical RN Supervisor (Flexible Schedule)
Bright Star Care of Westfield & Summit is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Registered Nurse to support the Director of Nursing and help ensure the highest quality of care for clients. This is a leadership-focused role balancing clinical oversight, fieldwork, and collaboration in a home health setting.
As the RN Supervisor, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure quality care delivery, maintain compliance standards, and support both patients and field staff in a home health environment. This position combines hands-on nursing with leadership responsibilities in a collaborative, family-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities- Clinical Leadership & Compliance
- Assist in overseeing clinical operations to ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and quality standards
- Support quality assurance and patient safety initiatives across all care services
- Staff Supervision & Development
- Supervise, mentor, and support field nursing staff in the home health care setting
- Conduct staff orientation and assist with ongoing education and training
- Participate in interviewing and evaluating Registered Nurse applicants
- Involvement in clinical program development
- Patient Care & Assessments
- Provide and oversee patient-centered care based on individualized Plans of Care
- Perform and supervise skilled nursing services, including:
- IV insertion and infusion therapy
- Injections
- Wound care
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Medication management
- Vital signs assessments
- Client & Family Support
- Communicate with clients and their families to address concerns to ensure high-quality care
- Assist the Director of Nursing with client assessments and reassessments as needed
- Required:
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license
- IV Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a National League of Nursing accredited program
- BLS or ACLS Certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory compliance
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality
- Preferred:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
- At least one (1) year of experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or healthcare facility
- Previous home health care experience
- Nursing instructor experience
- Superior IV insertion and infusion skills
- A strong clinical leader

- Organized and detail-oriented
- Confident in both hands-on care and team supervision
- Passionate about improving the lives of patients and families
- Part-time position (flexible schedule based on availability)
- Combination of office work and local field visits
