Staff Accountant

The annual base salary range is $85,000-$90,000, plus a 10% annual bonus and 20% RSUs. Final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, business needs, and location.

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a six person corporate close team in Westford, Massachusetts. This full time, exempt role supports general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, monthly close analysis, and financial disclosures. It reports to the Assistant Controller or SEC Reporting Manager and offers a path toward Senior Accountant.

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, analyze expense and balance sheet activity, and support consolidations during monthly and quarterly close.
• Assist with judgmental accounting areas, variance analysis, internal reporting, and financial disclosures.
• Support external auditors during audits, quarterly reviews, and SOX testing.
• Follow and help maintain corporate accounting policies and internal controls.
• Develop ERP expertise, improve close procedures, and help train accounting colleagues.
• Identify ways to standardize processes, strengthen controls, and improve efficiency.
• Assist other departments with relevant requests and participate in special projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• At least one year of similar corporate accounting experience and a solid grasp of accounting principles.
• Account reconciliation experience required; monthly close and variance analysis experience are pluses.
• Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, communication, organization, and ability to analyze large data sets.
• Ability to collaborate, work independently, propose solutions, and meet close deadlines.
• Experience with Oracle, Net Suite, SAP, or another Tier 1 ERP system is a plus.
