Location: Blanchard Middle School, Westford, Massachusetts

Goal: To create an engaging, respectful learning environment while delivering rigorous math instruction aligned with state frameworks.

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Massachusetts Mathematics Curriculum Framework (typically covering Algebra I or Pre‑Algebra at Grade
  8).
• Utilize Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines to meet the needs of all learners.
• Implement authentic formative and summative assessments to measure student growth.
• Collaborate with the 6‑12 STEM Curriculum Coordinator and grade‑level teams.
• Effectively communicate student progress and data to parents and administration.
• Create a classroom learning environment that is engaging, orderly, secure and appealing for students and in which mutual respect is shown.
• Carry out the school's disciplinary code and procedures fairly and justly.
• Give assignments that reinforce classroom instruction.
• Provide written assessments, referrals and evaluations when necessary for students with special needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings as required.
• Participate in professional growth opportunities.
• Attend staff or team meetings and serve on staff committees as necessary.
• Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and instructional effectiveness with all students.

• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Mathematics (5‑8).
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
• Strong pedagogical knowledge of middle school math content and classroom management.

Position Type: Full‑time

Salary: $55,482 to $110,834 per year
