Job Description

Nashoba Valley Technical High School is seeking a dedicated Long-Term Substitute School Nurse to lead our health office for the Fall 2026 term. The position will begin August 31, 2026 and is anticipated through December 23, 2026.

  • - Certification as School Nurse from Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)
  • - Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification
  • - Experience with school-age nursing, young adult experience preferred
  • - Current understanding of health issues in school-age children
  • - Familiarity with public health requirements for public schools
  • - Adequate skill with computer to manage computerized health data system
  • - Commitment to health and well-being of school-age children
  • - Willingness to be a member of a system health-care team
  • - Ability to work well with staff, parents and students
  • - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $56,745 to $56,745 Per Year

Job Requirements
  • - Provide health services to all students in accordance with State and Local regulations
    - Dispense medication to students per School Committee Policy
    - Provide health related information to students
    - Update and maintain Health Policy Manual
    - Assume responsibility for obtaining and maintaining health documentation for all students This is a union position with pay based on the teacher’s salary schedule. Starting salary is determined by your education level and years of experience, as outlined in our collective bargaining agreement.
