Ramboll is seeking a highly motivated Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Due Diligence Practice based in the New England offices. The role involves environmental due diligence and ESG reviews as part of merger and acquisition projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct environmental due diligence for industrial and commercial transactions, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM) and custom client‑specific reports.
- Conduct limited environmental compliance reviews for industrial facilities.
- Conduct ESG reviews for M&A due diligence projects.
- Prepare concise reports assessing potential environmental liabilities and compliance at manufacturing facilities.
- Provide general environmental compliance support across hazardous waste, wastewater, air emissions, chemical/spill prevention, and community right‑to‑know regulations.
- Assist industrial clients with regulatory compliance matters including permit transfers, environmental reporting, and permitting.
- Travel to facilities for site visits, including local and non‑local travel; approximately 20% per month.
- Support multiple projects and meet high quality standards on deliverables.
- Follow corporate health and safety standards.
- BS or MS (or equivalent) in Environmental, Chemical, Geological or related Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
- Three to seven years of primarily due‑diligence experience with a strong interest in environmental due diligence.
- Strong technical skills and experience writing technical reports.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and passion for high‑quality, continual improvement.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel about 20% per month.
