Role DescriptionPoint5 islooking for a Network Technician, focusing on supporting our network services. This role has a direct track to engineering for a tech who wants to own serviceability, customer support and new product roll-outs in a high-growth environment.
Circuit EngineeringAssist in the design and implementation of circuits for new Internet, PTP, and Cloud services.
Service ProvisioningLead the activation and ongoing support of network services across Point5 and carrier NNI infrastructures.
Advanced TroubleshootingTriage and diagnose complex network issues, identifying root causes and executing remediation strategies.
NOC OversightProvide high-level technical support and daily guidance to the Network Operations Center.
Field/Remote SupportExecute hardware installs and activations, participating in our rotating on-call schedule.
Network IntegrityDocument and track all network changes to ensure compliance and configuration accuracy.
Qualifications- Thorough understanding of Layer 1 to 3 networks including fiber, optics, VLANs, MPLS/VPLS, BGP, OSPF and related networking technologies and protocols
- Experience with Juniper hardware and JUNOS preferred
- Experience with AWS/Azure cloud connections preferred
- SDWAN configuration and management experience is a plus
- SIP and voice service experience is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience working for service provider networks or customer networks
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate with cross-functional teams
