Surface Mount Machine Operator – 3rd shift

Overview

The SMT Operator is responsible for set‑up, operation and maintenance of equipment in support of Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes and procedures at Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. Candidates must be local to the Melbourne, FL area. 3rd shift:
Sunday – Thursday (11:00pm – 7:30am).

• Set‑up, operate and maintain screen printers, glue machine, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners, conveyors, and other equipment used in the assembly of printed circuit boards.
• Interface with complex machine hardware and software.
• Identify and report defective components.
• Inspect own work to ensure accuracy and integrity of work performed.
• Ensure product meets established workmanship standards.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain data logs.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and surrounding workspace.
• Maintain accuracy of work‑in‑process.
• Participate in quality teams as required.
• May train other employees.

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• 2+ years of experience in SMT equipment operation (preferred).
• IPC‑A‑610 Certified (preferred).
• ESD training.
• Knowledge of component identification and nomenclature.
• Basic computer skills, problem‑solving and workstation skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Capable of performing job functions utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions and visual aids.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary, including weekends.
• US Person as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylum seekers and temporary residents granted amnesty) since work includes ITAR‑controlled technical data.
