Position Overview
Hybrid senior software engineer working primarily from the HPE office (approximately two days per week). The role focuses on developing the next generation Enterprise switching portfolio, embedding active service performance monitoring capabilities in a cloud environment across MX, ACX, and PTX product lines.
Responsibilities- Design and implement a micro‑service based cloud network monitoring responsive Web UI (front‑end) and corresponding backend API using Go, Python, and Postgre
SQL, deployed in a Kubernetes environment. - Contribute to integration and testing of the application.
- Document software designs and procedures.
- Utilize Juniper router data to develop network monitoring applications.
- Assist with troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for in‑process problems and field escalations.
- Follow engineering processes to manage risks and achieve high product quality.
- BS or MS in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience with core web technologies:
JavaScript, React, Node.js and associated principles, plus relevant Go experience. - Experience with micro‑frontend architecture.
- Experience implementing responsive web designs and writing unit and integration tests.
- Experience with one or more of Postgres, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis.
- Hands‑on experience developing, debugging, and deploying software on Linux systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; proven collaboration across teams and organizations.
- Familiarity with Git.
- Familiarity with Nginx, Grafana/Kibana, and open‑source collectors.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and Graph
QL. - Experience with modern front‑end build pipelines and tools.
- Experience working on Linux‑based operating systems.
- Understanding of cloud programming concepts, Docker, and containerization.
- Experience developing multi‑threaded applications.
- Knowledge of inter‑process communication and distributed systems.
- Experience building highly scalable systems addressing CPU performance and bandwidth utilization.

CompensationAnnual salary range for the United States (Massachusetts): USD 120,500 – 228,500. The listed range reflects base salary; variable incentives may also be offered.
