Building Substitute

Essex Westford School District (EWSD) has an opportunity for a full-time building substitute to join the team at Westford School. This position includes covering for teacher and staff absences across a variety of content areas and departments ensuring a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students. The building substitute is full-time, 8 hours per day, during the school year.

Primary job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Substitute coverage for licensed educator positions across a variety of content areas and departments
• Substitute coverage for a variety of support staff and para educator positions
• Provide general administrative, classroom, and school-wide support, including supervising students as requested (during lunch, study hall, before and after school, etc.)
• Attend and participate in all relevant training sessions, meetings and professional growth activities, and team meetings as requested
