Product Manager
About
K2 Venture Partners is a hands-on software development studio specializing in AI-first problem solving and zero-to-one product development, founded by serial entrepreneurs who've built dozens of products and sold multiple companies. We partner with founders and mid-market companies to transform bold ideas into market-ready products. We do this with the craft, rigor, and white-glove experience you'd expect from an elite product team.
Our projects are complex by design. We're building AI-native platforms in heavily regulated industries, multi-tenant SaaS products, and mission-critical tools for companies where the software is the business.
The RoleWe're looking for a Product Manager to join K2 as the connective tissue between our partners and our engineering team.
You'll own the day-to-day execution and partner relationship for a portfolio of active partner engagements, while working closely with our engineering team to make sure the right things get built, in the right order, for the right reasons.
You'll collaborate directly with partners on product strategy and roadmap. This goes well beyond writing tickets and attending standups. The job involves translating complex business problems into clear product strategy, while maintaining momentum between development cycles. You'll represent K2, which means you hold a very high bar for how we communicate, how we think, and how we show up. We're building an environment where AI tools are embedded in how we work, and we'll provide the tools and context to make that real.
What we're looking for is someone genuinely excited to lean in, experiment, and develop their own instincts for where AI creates leverage.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day owner across ~4 active partner engagements simultaneously
- Lead bi-weekly strategy sessions, weekly engineering planning, and milestone reviews with partner stakeholders
- Proactively surface risks, manage scope conversations, and maintain partner confidence throughout the development lifecycle
- Translate partner feedback and real-world pilot learnings into clear product direction
- Own the roadmap and priority management for each engagement, working closely with engineers to shape and sequence work
- Facilitate requirements alignment sessions and document product decisions in Meridian, our AI-native product management suite, including using Claude Code to break down complex requirements, generate specs, and prototype ideas directly in the repo alongside our engineers
- Write and refine user flows, acceptance criteria, and feature specs that our engineering team can execute against with confidence
- Validate shipped features against partner success criteria before delivery
- Communicate release notes and updates to product stakeholders
- Guide product stakeholders through product decisions when they're uncertain
- Keep our internal systems (Meridian, project tracking, documentation) updated and accurate across engagements
- Flag capacity, timeline, and budget risks early so leadership can act
- 5+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or partner-facing delivery, ideally at a product studio, agency, or early-stage startup
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder software projects from kickoff through launch
- Strong written and verbal communication. You write clearly, run crisp meetings, and partners trust you.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity: our partners often come to us with a problem, not a spec, and you'll need to help shape both
- Enough technical literacy to have credible conversations with engineers about architecture tradeoffs, API behavior, and AI system design. You won't be expected to write code.
- A product-first mindset: you think about outcomes, not outputs, and you push partners toward decisions that best serve their users
- A genuine eagerness to lean into AI tools and develop real fluency with them over time. We're not looking for an expert on day one; we want someone who gets excited when handed a new tool and figures out how to make it useful.
- Experience at a product studio, software agency, or venture studio environment
- Exposure to complex regulated industries: healthcare, education, fintech, etc.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM products and the unique challenges of building with them (evaluation, guardrails, agentic orchestration)
- Some hands-on experience with AI coding, prototyping or productivity tools like Claude Code and Cursor
- Boutique studio in Westlake, OH.…
