Overview
Ground Works Land Design, a brand of GW Home Solutions, is seeking a Licensed Landscape Architect to join our growing Projects Division. In this role, you will lead complex, large-scale landscape projects from initial site analysis and concept development through construction administration. You’ll ensure each design is not only visually compelling but also technically sound, code-compliant, and build-ready. Your licensure and technical expertise will play a critical role in accelerating design timelines, improving estimate accuracy, and supporting efficient project delivery across our portfolio.

Pay Range: $75k -$90k Annually (based on experience)

- Lead the development of creative landscape and hardscape design concepts, focusing on aesthetic vision, material selection, and overall functionality.
- Oversee and Stamp Construction Documents related to site grading, drainage, stormwater management, and retaining walls, assuming professional liability.
- Lead the design and master planning for large commercial and high-end residential projects, ensuring compliance with local zoning regulations and code compliance.
- Perform site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental remediation planning.
- Manage and mentor junior designers, overseeing the preparation of comprehensive design concepts and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with civil engineers, municipal authorities, and contractors to secure necessary permits and ensure smooth project construction.
- Serve as the primary technical resource in client and consultant meetings, translating complex technical requirements into clear project objectives.
- Implement advanced sustainable design and landscape analysis techniques.
- Enjoy creative freedom to design, present, and oversee projects from concept through completion.

- Current State Licensure as a Registered/Professional Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA).
- 5+ years of experience in progressive landscape architecture, specifically involving site engineering and master planning. (Preferred)
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks, 3D modeling (Sketch Up), and familiarity with GIS and landscape analysis tools.
- Proven expertise in site grading, complex drainage design, and stormwater management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local zoning regulations and the construction documentation process.
- A professional degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA or MLA) is required.
