Work Schedule: Flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends). Schedule varies based on the needs of the department. Supervisor will work with selected candidate to set a schedule designed to support the demands of the department.

SUMMARY

Works directly with students, either in one‑on‑one or small groups to provide academic tutorial assistance, helping students become independent learners that persevere and reach their academic goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Supports the department’s goal of providing students with supplemental academic support by providing one‑on‑one and small group tutoring support.
  • Provides subject‑specific content strategies, attuned to different learning styles and preferences, to help students understand key concepts learned in class.
  • Provides direct assistance in the use of equipment and learning materials needed for student’s success.
  • Conducts “class visits” and assists with publicizing the College’s tutoring services.
  • Assists with the maintenance of accurate records in accordance to stated deadlines.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and according to stated deadlines.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of departmental instructional materials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Education consistent with the department needs & minimum of associate’s degree in related field of study.

Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position
This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $18.21/ hour.

If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
