Radiographer
As a Radiographer, you’ll play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging while helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience. You will work with patients of all ages while collaborating closely with physicians and the care team.

- Follow all radiation and fluoroscopic safety standards and department guidelines for patient identification and safety.
- Follow hospital and department SOPs, policies, and protocols.
- Demonstrate successful patient/technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiological procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
- Provide age‑specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics.
- Perform all applicable equipment quality control.
- Accurately record all requested database/log records.

- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (HIPAA) and facility policies.
- Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Effectively follow directions to maintain compliance with State and Federal Agencies.
- Maintain competency skill levels for patient exam imaging.
- Maintain department readiness based on DNV standards.
- Instruct students and new staff after 1 year of experience.
- Work independently.
- Use administrative skills to support billing code entry in the RIS.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.
- Maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) securely, following annual training, UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited 2‑year program in a school of Radiologic Technology with appropriate certification (Required).
- Previous Registered X‑Ray Technologist experience (Preferred).
- Clear knowledge of x‑ray equipment (digital/analog), image printers, computers, PACS, and radiology information system.
- Effective organizational, written, and oral communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to operate equipment such as C‑arms, portables, and various computers.
- Procedural proficiency specific to the area.
- Ability to work independently.
- Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT‑R) – Required upon hire.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT:R) – Ohio Department of Health – Required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required upon hire.
