responsibilities:
As a Software QA Analyst, you will play a critical role across all areas of testing-including functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end acceptance testing. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Test Strategy & Execution:
Design, execute, and maintain robust testing deliverables, including testing approaches, test cases, test scripts, and test result summaries using industry best practices. - Backend Validation:
Carry out comprehensive manual backend testing to verify system functionality, data integrity, and compliance with core business requirements. - Defect Management:
Maintain meticulous testing documentation, accurately logging defects, tracking resolutions, and reporting progress to stakeholders. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to analyze requirements, manage test schedules, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). - Continuous Improvement:
Promote QA best practices within the project team and collaborate to identify opportunities where testing efforts can be optimized or streamlined.
- Minimum of 3 years of dedicated software quality assurance experience, with a heavy emphasis on manual backend database testing.
- Hands-on experience using SQL to write and execute complex queries independently.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and meet tight deadlines with minimal guidance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a team-first mindset; ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
- A high tolerance for rapid change and the ability to comfortably navigate ambiguous, fast-moving project environments.
- Experience testing applications built on Microsoft technologies (.NET C#, , VB6, and SQL Server).
- Preferred
- Direct experience using Azure Dev Ops or Team Foundation Server (TFS) for tracking and documentation.
- Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
