Cybersecurity, Systems Administrator
Upside Search is partnering with a global industrial technology organization to hire an IT Infrastructure Analyst who will help build, mature, and automate its enterprise vulnerability remediation program. This is a newly created position with a clear mission: create a scalable process that ensures vulnerabilities are properly categorized, assigned, remediated, validated, documented, and closed across an environment of approximately 10,000 endpoints.
The role sits at the intersection of Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Service Now, Endpoint Management, Applications, and Compliance.
- Own the delivery and coordination process from vulnerability identification through successful remediation
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Service Now SAM, ITAM, asset data, workflows, and reporting
- Coordinate patching, upgrades, software removal, standardization, and risk-acceptance activities
- Improve Service Now workflows, categorization, routing, approval processes, dashboards, and data quality
- Track remediation progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers across multiple technical teams
- Develop documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, process flows, KPIs, and reporting
- Use Power Shell, Python, SQL, and workflow automation to reduce manual effort
- Help integrate Service Now with cybersecurity, endpoint-management, and remediation tools
- Build toward a low-touch, closed-loop vulnerability remediation process
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, software asset management, systems administration, or a related area
- Broad infrastructure knowledge across servers, endpoints, operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, virtual environments, and application deployment
- Deep hands-on Service Now experience, ideally including SAM and ITAM
- Experience creating or modifying Service Now workflows, reports, views, metadata, and configurations
- Knowledge of vulnerability remediation, patching, asset governance, and application lifecycle management
- Experience with Power Shell, Python, SQL, APIs, Dev Ops, or workflow automation
- Exposure to Crowd Strike or comparable vulnerability and cybersecurity tools
- Experience supporting a large, complex enterprise environment
- Strong ownership, organization, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills
Prior experience as a Service Now Administrator or Developer who later moved into an analyst, infrastructure, or delivery-focused position would be especially attractive.
Why consider this opportunity?- Build and influence a newly developing program
- Automate processes instead of manually chasing remediation tickets
- Work with Service Now at a deep functional and technical level
- Gain visibility across multiple areas of enterprise technology
- Solve challenges at genuine enterprise scale
Help define the future operating model for vulnerability remediation - Hybrid schedule with two remote days per week
This is not a traditional Infrastructure Engineer role or a pure Service Now Administrator position. It’s ideal for someone who understands infrastructure, knows Service Now deeply, and enjoys creating the processes and automation that keep complex technical work moving.
