Overview
Supply Chain Logistics Analyst IMCD US currently has an opening for a Supply Chain Logistics Analyst. This role is based in our Corporate Headquarters in Westlake, Ohio. Candidates must be located in the geographical area to be considered for the role.
Summary The Supply Chain Logistics Analyst manages third party carriers and supports internal teams to ensure shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with responsible distribution standards. By partnering cross functionally, this role helps improve processes, reduce costs, and support overall supply chain effectiveness.

Responsibilities
- Managing all third-party carriers and assisting Principals, warehouses, sales, and internal departments in resolving issues or inquiries related to transportation.
- Serving as a member of the Responsible Distribution Committee and ensuring carriers fit within the responsible distribution framework.
- Addressing service issues with the current carrier network and looking for ways to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
- Partnering with other team members to explore opportunities for process improvements while instilling the company’s core values into day-to-day operations.
- Reviewing daily reports for changes to item master that might affect product classification.
- Arranging LTL shipments/expedites/BOL for customer service as necessary.
- Tending future TL shipments to preapproved carriers based on rates and performance.
- Coordinating with supply chain and customer service for changes to shipment status.
- Processing freight claims as necessary.
- Managing annual carrier questionnaires for “Approved Carrier” requirements of RD.
- Reviewing updated SDS sheets and making appropriate adjustments in system; forwarding SDS to warehouses, Chemtrec, and Warehouse Analyst; reviewing all active items annually.
- Coordinating with Supply Chain Analysts to arrange truckload freight and understanding rules and product attributes for Principals.
- Maintaining truckload schedule to track orders with carriers.
- Recording all carrier issues on an incident log and using them to send quarterly scorecards for all carriers.
- Working with carriers to develop new efficiencies and correct service issues.
- Executing Import/Export orders as necessary and coordinating with Supply Chain / Customer Service Departments to ensure Freight Playbooks and Freight Manuals are accurate.
- Meeting weekly with Assistant Supply Chain Manager to provide updates on carriers, trends, and status of open items.
- Participating in ongoing education to improve personal and job skills (e.g., APICS meetings, webinars, cross training).
- Participating in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Developing and completing projects to improve processes and procedures as part of 90-day action items.
- Understanding how job responsibilities affect other departments and how the role contributes to company success.
- Resolving conflicts by assisting team members, warehouses, Principals, sales, and internal departments.
- Assisting other team members as needed to achieve department goals.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of Supply Chain Management, NMFC Classifications, and DOT Hazmat Regulations.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
