Maintenance Technician

Banyan Living is a prominent provider of luxury apartment homes in the greater Cleveland and Columbus metropolitan areas. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our enthusiastic team, committed to delivering top-notch service and quality living environments for our residents.

In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in ensuring that our properties are not only well-maintained but also safe and comfortable for our residents. You will be tasked with a variety of maintenance duties, responding efficiently to service requests, and performing general repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on apartment units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and ensure timely and quality resolution.
• Assist in preparing vacant units for new residents by completing necessary repairs and cleaning.
• Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any unsafe conditions.
• Support the maintenance team as needed and contribute to team meetings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and basic HVAC maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to participate in on-call maintenance rotations as required.
