Lapping Machinist​/Finisher

Lapping Machine Operator

We are seeking individuals who will be operating a Lapping Machine to remove material from gage blocks, measure gages during the manufacturing process, and accurately follow the required processes. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Set up and operate Lapping Machines to complete each step of the manufacturing plan
• Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
• Verify the gage with precision and measuring tools
• Continually monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature, and identify issues
• Check parts to ensure machine-related mistakes or flaws do not exist
• Collaborate with your co-workers and supervisor to problem solve and meet deadlines
• Perform cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and the machines
• Meet the daily job assignment set by Production Supervisor, and consistently produce high-quality work
• Listen and follow through with instructions
• Take personal ownership to work safely in every aspect, following both established and “common sense” safety rules
• Follow Company Office Rules, policies, safe work practices and procedures that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
• Perform all other duties assigned
