University Hospitals Urgent Care seeks talented, patient-oriented Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners who are relentlessly dedicated to ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service by putting patients’ needs first.
What You Will Do- Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management for both adults and children in cooperation with center physicians
- Deliver the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times, adhering to service and courtesy standards
- Provide patient care within the clinical area in compliance with professional bylaws, rules, regulations, and University Hospitals Urgent Care policies and procedures
- Serve as a resource for patients/families and staff
- Maintain authenticated reports of all services rendered and accurate, complete records
- Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement
- Participate in meetings and activities to support operations of the urgent care
- Engage in professional development, maintain certifications in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS, and any additional specialty training as required
- Report to the Regional Medical Director (RMD) and/or Area Clinical Operations Director (ACOD)
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
- Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Licensed NP/PA in accordance with the state of Ohio
- Current DEA registration
- Differentiated DOT certification
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with diagnostic studies such as x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (provided if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by Well Street Urgent Care
- Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other employees
- Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults
- Effective communication with patients, families, and employees
- Positive, energetic attitude that inspires team members
- Sense of service and team orientation, absent of hubris
- Desire to contribute to building and maintaining a great organization
- Willingness to go the extra mile to create an outstanding customer experience and to train and lead the center team to do the same
- A desire to work in concert with others in an upbeat and supportive atmosphere while reinforcing the organization’s mission to provide uncompromising service
