Reserve Care is a hospice, palliative, and grief support organization dedicated to relieving suffering, enhancing comfort, promoting quality of life, fostering choice in end‑of‑life care, and supporting effective grieving. We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to expand our clinical services.
What You Will Do- Analyze and evaluate clinical practice standards in terms of cost and quality
- Provide independent direct nursing care to patients, within the Nurse Practitioner role as delineated by the State of Ohio
- Participate in the development and implementation of new standards of practice
- Maintain and promptly complete all required records and reports
- Participate in the Transdisciplinary team
- Serve as a consultant to staff caring for patients in long‑term care and home settings
- Assist in identifying learning needs of staff through formal and informal needs assessments
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the current practice and literature relating to end‑of‑life care and facilitate the sharing of that knowledge with staff
- Maintain a standard care agreement with the RC Medical Director
- Participate and/or chair RC committees as needed
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Maintain and cultivate professional relationships in healthcare that strengthen the agency’s strategic marketing plan
- Fulfill professional growth through involvement in professional organizations, presentations, and publications
- Participate in agency research endeavors related to patient care
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current Certificate of Authority in the State of Ohio
- Master of Nursing degree
- Minimum of two years in a clinical setting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with RC employees, community, and healthcare providers
- Availability of personal transportation
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and automobile insurance at a level acceptable to RC and/or its insurer

This position involves heavy physical work, including exertion of up to 75 lb of force occasionally and 50 lb frequently, using safe transfer techniques and body mechanics. Tasks include stooping, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, visual and hearing acuity, and vocal communication. Employees may be exposed to environmental elements, infectious disease, blood borne pathogens, chemicals, allergens, and inclement weather. The role may involve difficult patients and family situations.
