Shift leader, Restaurant​/Food Service

Shift Leaders are trained to perform all the duties performed by the Team Members, with additional responsibility for directing the daily operations of a restaurant in the Restaurant General Manager's and Assistant Manager's absence, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance, team management and other duties as required or assigned.

• Achieving Mastery in all areas including
  - Guest Ambassador, BBQ, Bread, Line, and prep.
• Maintains fast & accurate service, ensures excellent guest experience, and makes sure all products are consistent with Choolaah’s standards.
• Leads Team Members and directs daily operations of the restaurant including supervising and training employees, opening, and closing the store, ensuring all food preparation is complete, managing employee breaks and shift changes, and completing minor admin duties.
• Makes sure the restaurant is up to Choolaah’s standards with regards to cleanliness, neatness, and guest satisfaction.
• Uses the company cash register accurately and maintains proper control of company assets. Makes accurate deposits.
• Works as a team player to support other employees in completing their tasks.
• Motivates and coaches Team Members and assists in the training of new Team Members.
• Offers friendly and expeditious guest service.
• Completes all other duties assigned as necessary.

• Minimum 18 years of age
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being on your feet for up to 8 hours. Also able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.

• Total Compensation: $18-$19/hour
• Tips: $2/hour average
