IT Field Technician; Summer position

Looking for a hands‑on Summer opportunity where you can gain real‑world IT experience, travel throughout Ohio, and work alongside experienced technology professionals? Data Serv/xFact is seeking a motivated IT Field Technician to join our project team this Summer.

• Assist with staging, setup, and installation of IT equipment
• Travel to customer sites across Ohio with the project team
• Transport equipment using a company vehicle
• Help install and mount equipment including:
• Access points
• Security cameras
• Door access controls
• Phones
• Servers and network switches
• Work with power tools, ladders, and mounting equipment (training provided)
• Support engineers during customer deployments and projects
• Represent Data Serv/xFact professionally with customers, vendors, and team members
• Participate in project and team meetings as needed

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working hands‑on with technology and tools
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay professional in fast‑paced environments
• Willingness to travel throughout Ohio Monday–Friday, with occasional extended hours
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand/power tools and ladders
• Previous experience is helpful, but not required
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with installations

• Professional and dependable attitude
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
