Starting Pay Range:
Hardscape Crew Member: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hardscape Foreman: $28.00 – $36.00+ per hour or salary option (based on experience and leadership level)

Ground Works Land Design is hiring Hardscape Foremen and Hardscape Crew Members to join our growing team in Westlake, OH. Whether you’re an experienced leader ready to run projects or a motivated team member looking to grow in the outdoor-living construction industry, we want to connect with you!
Our crews install high-quality residential and commercial hardscape projects including patios, walkways, retaining walls, driveways, artificial turf installations, and custom outdoor living features. Depending on experience, applicants may be considered for a leadership Foreman role or a hands‑on Crew Member position.

- Assist with installation of paver patios, retaining walls, natural stone walkways, fire pits, and other outdoor living features
- Operate tools and equipment including saws, grinders, laser levels, and skid‑steer loaders
- Perform excavation, grading, and site preparation
- Follow direction from the Hardscape Foreman and management
- Maintain clean and safe job sites
- Lead and supervise hardscape crews from project start through completion
- Coordinate daily schedules, materials, and equipment
- Train and develop crew members to Ground Works standards
- Communicate with Project Managers and clients when needed
- Ensure quality craftsmanship, safety compliance, and productivity
- Complete project documentation and inspections
- May be on‑call for snow removal during winter months
- Must follow company safety standards and maintain a positive team culture
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- 1–2+ years of construction, hardscape, or landscape installation experience preferred
- Ability to use power tools and read a tape measure
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Valid Driver’s license with minimal incidents or points in the last 3 years
- Has an advanced understanding of hardscape construction projects, including a clear understanding of the processes for properly laying paver patios, walkways, building stairs and garden walls
- Ability to lead crews, solve problems, and manage jobsite productivity
- Experience operating skid steers, tampers, or excavators
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment a plus
- Able to analyze diverse problems and consistently make proper decisions
* Spanish communication skills are a plus for all roles
