Software Engineer, Java Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software

We are seeking a skilled Java AWS Modernization Engineer responsible for designing, maintaining, and modernizing legacy Java applications while transitioning them to scalable, cloud-based architectures on AWS. The role focuses on improving system performance, reliability, and maintainability by refactoring existing platforms and building secure, efficient solutions aligned with business needs.

• Design and develop RESTful services using Spring Boot
• Refactor and modernize legacy Java applications to improve performance and reliability
• Integrate and support applications on AWS services such as EC2, RDS, and S3
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and Dev Ops teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Work with relational databases and messaging systems for data integration
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
• Support CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure application deployments
• Upgrade and maintain Java and Spring Boot libraries as part of modernization efforts
• Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of cloud-based applications

• 6+ years of experience in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot development
• Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Hands‑on experience in modernizing legacy Java applications
• 2+ years of experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3)
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with experience in Oracle or DB2 databases
• Experience with application integration and messaging systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines

Exposure to cloud migration or hybrid cloud architectures

AWS certifications (preferred but not mandatory)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
