• Provide specialized instruction aligned to student needs in the assigned service model (e.g., inclusion, resource, or specialized classroom).
• Collaborate with general education partners and/or support staff to plan and deliver instruction for students with disabilities.
• Implement classroom supports, accommodations, and modifications so students can access instruction and participate meaningfully.
• Deliver small‑group or individual instruction focused on skill‑building in targeted areas of need.
• Support structured behavioral and social‑emotional interventions for students who require increased classroom supports.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Completion of a Michigan‑approved teacher preparation program.
• Completion of required student teaching and/or clinical experience.
• Passing scores on the required Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) examinations.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with the appropriate Special Education endorsement for the population being served.
