• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate, Elementary Teaching Experience or Retired Elementary Teacher preferred
• Knowledge of elementary ELA and Math state standards and aligned instruction for foundational reading, writing, and math skills
• Knowledge of structured literacy instruction aligned with the Science of Reading, experience with HMH Into Reading, and familiarity with Bridges Math intervention are preferred.
• Exhibit patience and willingness to work with children
• Exhibit emotional stability and physical stamina necessary for meeting the requirements of the position
• Clear criminal and professional background check

• Provide one-on-one and/or small group targeted skill instruction in ELA and Math
• Work effectively under the immediate direction of the AES Literacy & Math Coaches
• Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding all students
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Maintain program materials
• Complete required documentation, assessments, and program evaluation
• Strategically plan lessons in collaboration with intervention staff, teachers, and coaches using assessment data to meet the individual needs of students

Salary: $21.00 per hour
