Contract Dates: August 19, 2024 - June 13, 2025
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Caseload: K-8 Multidisciplinary (~16 students)
On-Site Role

We are excited to welcome a dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED) to our team in Lansing, MI, for the  school year. In this role, youll be instrumental in supporting a diverse K-8 caseload of approximately 16 students.

• Deliver personalized instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Create and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that drive student success.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and general education teachers.
• Regularly assess and adjust your teaching strategies based on student progress.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Keep detailed records of student progress and attendance.

• Youll have the option to participate in professional development and training days. If you choose to join, youll receive a daily stipend instead of your hourly rate, with the stipend amount varying by discipline.

• Michigan Standard OR Professional Certificate with any of the following endorsements:
  • Cognitive Impairment
